lighted airport is home to 2 fixed wing amphibious air taxis
and a helicopter charter firm, as well as being serviced twice
daily by Alaska Airlines 737 jet service from both Seattle
and Anchorage. 100LL and Jet A fuel are available, as well
as tie downs. The airport is located 1 mile SE of downtown.
The seadrome, _ mile SW of downtown, is home to 2 float equipped
air taxis and has a float for loading and off-loading as well
as run-up ramps for overnight stays. No fuel is available
at the Seadrome.
Scenery abounds for the flightseer!
A 45 minute flight will readily acquaint you with glaciers,
alpine and lower wilderness lakes, as well as fishing and
hunting areas. and perhaps a few whales! If you come equipped
for water landings, there are many lakes and inlets to fly
to, some of which have USFS cabins, which can be rented by
prior reservation.
