Petersburg Community Cold Storage

Completed in August of 2006, the PEDC owns and operates the Petersburg Community Cold Storage. The project provides freezing and holding capacity for local seafood processors, commercial fishermen, and direct marketers, and storage of frozen product for restaurants and grocery stores.

The PCCS is capable of freezing up to 75,000 pounds of product in 24 hours, and can hold up to 500,000 pounds of product at -10F. The facility also has ice, totes, bait, and pallets available for sale.

The Cold Storage was constructed through grants from the State of Alaska’s Fisheries Economic Development Program and the City of Petersburg Economic Fund.
