Born and raised in Petersburg, with deep roots in Alaska’s fishing culture
Began flying at age 19 and has decades of experience operating floatplanes, having worked for regional air taxi services in Southeast Alaska. Operates a well maintained De Havilland Beaver floatplane, outfitted with noise cancelling headsets for comfort and clear communication. Known for delivering smooth, safe, and interpretive tours, sharing local wildlife, geography, and history with guests.

Flightseeing Tours
Petersburg Flying Service offers two signature tours from the Petersburg waterfront:

• LeConte Glacier Tour
Duration: Approx. 48 minutes
Route: Over the Stikine Icefield, past Devils Thumb, descending into LeConte Bay to view the glacier front—200–300 ft tall—sometimes with calving icebergs and seal pups on icebergs. Return flight may include whale sightings in Frederick Sound.
Price: $250 per person (group of 4–6)

• Devil’s Thumb & Glacier Tour
Duration: Approx. 1.2 hours
Highlights: Close-up aerial views of Devils Thumb peak (~9,077 ft), Patterson Glacier, and a descent through the upper Stikine Icefield to LeConte Glacier. Requires excellent weather.
